Fearless

--

A poem

I don’t hide the ferocity in my eyes,

Unfiltered truth bearing down on polite lies,

Unchained, the melody of my gait,

More than ready to fashion my fate.

The noise of the world is a hazy murmur,

The song of my soul, a clarion call,

I keep marching on, steady as a soldier,

No barricade too big or small.

I’ve uprooted the weeds of doubt,

And sowed seeds of courage,

Nurturing even the tiniest sprout,

Everything saved, secured and salvaged.

I carry on with my labours,

Infusing mind, soul and heart,

I become a force of nature,

I become a work of art.
